SYLVAROS™
Tall oil rosin (TOR) is a primary biorefinery product based on crude tall oil (CTO) and is comparable to the resinous constituent found in pine tree exudates. SYLVAROS™ GRS and SYLVAROS™ NCY are unmodified tall oil rosin (TOR) with a high content of abietic type rosin acids. It is especially suited for manufacturing fortified rosin, paper size, and ink resins. SYLVAROS™ rosin and Disproportionated Rosins (DR) can manufacture polymerization and pigment-coating emulsifiers.
SYLVAROS Rosin Soaps and Disproportionated Rosin Soaps (DRS) are used as emulsifiers in the polymerization process of styrene-butadiene rubber, nitrile rubber, polychloroprene, and acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene plastics. It is also used to prepare pigments, as an anchoring agent, and improve adhesive properties based on casein or polymer dispersions in the adhesive industry.

SYLVAROS™ DR 731D Disproportionated Rosin
SYLVAROS™ DR 731D Disproportionated Rosin is a pale, highly colour stable resin with a rosin acid content of about 90%. The proportions of the abietic and pimaric acid groups vary depending on the type of pine wood, as well as the sourcing location and the method of treating the rosin.

SYLVAROS™ DRS 214 DISPROPORTIONATED ROSIN SOAP
SYLVAROS™ DRS 214 Disproportionated Rosin Soap is based on disproportionated rosin neutralized with potassium hydroxide solution. It can be used as emulsifier in the polymerization process of styrene-butadiene rubber, nitrile rubber, polychloroprene and acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene plastics. SYLVAROS™ DRS 214 Disproportionated Rosin Soap is also suitable for the preparation of pigments as an anchoring agent, and it can be used in the adhesive industry to enhance properties of adhesives on basis of casein or polymer dispersions.

SYLVAROS™ DRS 40 Disproportionated Rosin Soap
SYLVAROS™ DRS 40 is a catalytically disproportionated tall oil rosin potassium soap. The disproportionation step converts Abietic Acid into the more oxidation resistant dehdroabietic acid isomer. The low Abietic Acid content minimalizes interaction with the catalyst-initiator system and does not influence the polymer chain length of the SBR rubber.

SYLVAROS™ DRS 42 is a catalytically disproportionated tall oil rosin potassium soap. The disproportionation step converts Abietic Acid into the more oxidation resistant dehdroabietic acid isomer. The low Abietic Acid content minimalizes interaction with the catalyst-initiator system and does not influence the polymer chain length of the SBR rubber.
